Protect your home from termites with pest control services

There is always something going on in the greater Phoenix area…. Traditional annual events or festivals are held throughout the year in all of the communities in Phoenix. Annually, the Greater Phoenix area hosts hundreds of festivals, celebrations, traditions, and other events that draw thousands of people. Fairs, Native American events, rodeos, parades, culinary festivals, antique auto auctions, and major annual sporting events are examples of what you can expect. No matter if you’re a fan of country music, visual art, or the Greatest Show on Grass, there’s something to do in the greater Phoenix area for everyone.

Arizona State Fair

Fried food, in a nutshell. Okay, here are two more: live music and a movie. All right, all right, just two more: terrifying amusement park rides. Even if your home state’s fair was a disaster, you should make a point of visiting Arizona’s at least once. The event, which takes place over three weeks in October, includes all of the usual attractions such as rides, crazy food, and cute animals, but it also includes a live concert series that is pretty darn good, according to the critics. The Alabama Shakes, the Flaming Lips, and Awolnation are just a few of the chart-topping artists who have performed at the festival in recent years.

Tour De Fat

A two-wheeled celebration complete with beer, bands, and – of course – bicycles. A day of “comedians, cirque performers, general mayhemists, top-notch live musicians,” according to the event website, will be held at this touring festival sponsored by New Belgium Brewing. Every year, on the first weekend of October, thousands of bike and beer enthusiasts dress up in elaborate costumes (no, seriously, they go all out) and parade around Tempe Beach Park in Tempe, Arizona.

The Territorial Cup

The rivalry between Arizona State University and the University of Arizona is a long-standing one. According to Arizona State University, both schools were legally established on the same day, so you could argue that they have been competitors since the beginning of time. Every fall — the game typically takes place over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend — the schools compete on the football field for the Territorial Cup, a very real trophy that also happens to be the oldest in NCAA history, having been awarded to the winning school in 1885. Whatever you want to call it, the “Duel in the Desert” or whatever you want to call it, just know that you will have to choose a side.

Barrett Jackson

Admire automobiles that you cannot afford!   Barrett-Jackson is a legendary event, attracting people from all over the world who come to buy and sell some of the world’s most valuable automobiles. Don’t care for automobiles? It doesn’t make a difference. This is one of the few occasions when simply looking around is almost as entertaining as actually participating. Almost. Make a note of the date in your calendar for mid-January, when the event will take over WestWorld in Scottsdale.
